Hero Vired has announced the appointment of Geetika Goel as Head of Technology and Dr. Ankur Sodhi as Associate Vice President for Career Services and Corporate Relations. Both leaders will spearhead their respective teams to prepare for the company's next phase of growth and expansion.
Geetika will report directly to the CEO and serve as a technological and business specialist, making decisions that will affect the company's present and future operations. She will integrate business objectives and strategy into technology vision and requirements, manage a world-class team of engineers, encourage them, and instill a strong engineering culture inside the firm. In addition, she will investigate, compare, select, and deploy technology solutions to meet current and future industry needs.
Dr. Sodhi will be responsible for end-to-end student placement preparation and career counselling in his new role. With 18+ years of experience as an educationist, public speaker and strategic planner, Dr Sodhi has played a vital role in improving the systems at various organizations. In his previous role at upGrad as Associate Director, Career Services and Corporate Relations, Dr. Sodhi was actively involved in the learners' journey and ensured their successful transition from students to professionals.

Geetika is a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of experience building large technology-focused organizations in diverse domains. She has a hands-on and in-depth understanding of technology with an ability to recruit, mentor, and grow other tech professionals. A post-graduate from IIT, Kanpur, Geetika's past stints include leading roles in Infosys, Jigsaw Academy, Lowe's India, and Climate Solutions. She is also a certified AI Analyst from IBM and holds several patents under her name.

The appointment is in line with Hero Vired's plan to add over 50 professionals to its growing team of 150+ by the end of March 2022. The company currently has a total of 66 part-time and full-time faculty members for its programs in Full Stack Development, Data Science, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Finance & Financial Technologies, and Gaming. Currently, Hero Vired's top performers and faculty receive ESOPs, and the company plans to extend this benefit to a larger employee base shortly. The company's ESOP pool for the employees is to the tune of one lakh options, the overall being 10% of the cap table.
